General Information

Pleasant Trucking Inc. Hiring Guidelines – Drivers & Owner Operators Required to hire:

• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL license
• No DUI or DWI on driving record ever in a commercial vehicle, within (5) five years in a non-commercial vehicle
• No careless/reckless conviction due to a charge within past three (3) years
• No drug convictions, positive screens, or refusals within the last (5) five years
• No major infractions. Major infractions include:
• negligent homicide
• manslaughter
• assault involving a motor vehicle
• unlawful use of a motor vehicle
• racing
• leaving the scene of an accident
• attempting to evade a police officer

Additional Desired Criteria to hire:

It is recommended that new hires also meet the following criteria. If they do not, they may be hired on a conditional basis. This requires completion of an acceptance form, signed by management and employee. In addition, there must be an action plan outlining additional training/monitoring to be conducted. (Subject to satisfactory review & probationary program)

• Verified work history, most recent 3 years with no gaps in excess of 30 days. (Files documented to show process followed)
• Six (6) months verifiable T/T experience within the past twelve (12) months with driver acceptance approval
• No more than 2 accidents/violations within past three (3) years
• No suspension for moving violation(s) within past three (3) years
• No felony convictions
• Driving while license has been suspended or revoked
